83 gsl with sidedraft dellorto 48ida dhla

So I recently installed my carburator and am having some issues. Please take in mind this is my FIRST rotary vehicle so I'm a novice on tuning. This intake was pulled off a 84 gsl with a blown motor i'm hesitant to run it the way it is set up currently. Mainly becouse when idling it seems to be cutting out and as soon as you apply gas it starts cutting out more then dies. My engine was performing very well prior to instalation. I am assuming it's flooding the engine or my air to fuel mixture is wrong??? Any tips or hints with this would be greatly appreciated. Live in Tulsa oklahoma not too much rotor support
