After a year of waiting, the legal matters have been worked out and I have the title in hand. The guy who sold it to me will be forced to pay the original owner a specified amount, and the original owner signed a new title over to me. I sold the Knightsport turbo and bought a stock s5 one as I didn't want to have to buy injectors and some sort of ecu when I didn't know the exact condition of the motor. This is fine as now I can enjoy it with minimal cost and upgrade as necesssary. Yesterday I started the motor for real and it fired up on the first crank and all subequent starts when warm! Hopefully my good luck with the motor will continue as later today I will be bleeding the brakes and taking it for a spin.
