New member, old-school Rotard.
I met a lot of members at DGRR, and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Aaron, but a lot of my friends call me 'Duck'. For those that were there, I was the guy driving the Volkswankel sandrail. I wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me get the car rolling when my ignition system quit. You guys have class.
I enjoyed seeing all the amazing cars, but unfortunately I was only able to experience the dragon as a passenger. I had a carb issue that limited my top speed, and the off-road toe-out setup on the rear made the on-road handling describable only as "psychotic". Next year I'll be back, and perhaps the car will have a bit more finish. I thought I'd go ahead and post a couple pics of the rail in her native habitat; as well as some pictures of my 1st gen project as it has evolved from S4 13bt, to HBP REW, to the current unfinished state with a 20b. Thanks for putting on a great event, and thanks to everyone who helped and commented favorably. I can't wait til next year! ~2005 2007 2010 |
