Hello!
I am old to rotary (old being my first R1 was purchased in 2000). I kept it until 2005 when I sold it to a wonderful owner in Sarasota. I sold it for money (get out of my debt hole it brought me) and for love (looking to start fresh with fiancee). Well the fiancee thing went south and I lost my car to boot so I was a mess.
What I loved most about my old RX-7 was the friendships it created by meeting people from all over the US (and the world really) through meetings and forums. Most of the people I've met since 2000 are still my best friends today. I was part of the MRCCFL (Mazda Rotary Car Club of Florida) and we had some good times. Sadly, we disbanded and after I sold my R1 I fell out of the scene. Older, wiser, more financially smart..I ventured off to the darkside and got an LS6 swapped 1994 MB FD. I went this route 'cause I felt I kinda "been there, done that" with my R1 and wanted new challenges and different feel. Still love the rotary and the rotary community and think about getting another one after I'm done fixing up this one, but for now I love the change. From the limited amount I've seen here, this site is awesome. The Digizine..holy shit..very well done. Kudos to all of you! |
