If the trans works well in the FC, I'll be doing the same thing with the FD. It's not an extra gear, it tightens up all the gears. You do loose some OD though. Im using the RX8 gear set, .84 OD FWIW. I think the ratio's will be spot on though. Especially the 1-2 & 2-3 shift.

My trans is jacked. The guy that rebuilt it did a shit job and i spent way to much on it. I'll watch for updats.
