That is really odd. The seals may be stuck and the chances of them getting un stuck are not that good you may want to try seafoam too. Sorry but looks like a rebuild is in your future. Hopefully everything is like new inside but hopefully a stuck seal did not harm anything and your rebuild will be cheap and i would definitly port it
