Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: M'boro iTrader: (2) Posts: 1,046 Rep Power: 18	Pulled Turbo, have questions I pulled the turbo because I had an exhaust leak on one rotor and assumed it was the block-to-manifold or block-to-turbo gasket. However, the 4th picture shows what was causing the leak. A EGT hole! I can't believe I didn't see it taking off the turbo but I was too worried about not breaking studs to notice. Other than an EGT sensor itself, do I use a steel or brass NPT plug to stop the leak? It is a Knightsport front housing with stock hotside. The wastegate is unported as far as I can tell. It has had part of the front housing ground down slightly to fit next to the LIM. Can anyone tell me what to expect out of the turbo as a whole? I noticed a deposit that seams to be leaking out of it (see pic 5). Can anyone tell me what this is and if it is a symptom of a problem? Coolant? If it has problems I want to take care of them before it goes back on the motor.
