Brian,
I would suggest starting w/ BRAND new OEM RX8 coils as a base line instead of used coils. I have an in house mustang Dyno and have done more pulls from our RX8 race cars than I care to admit. This is what I do before & after every race. I dyno the cars before we load them into the race trailer with NEW coils and when we get back from a race weekend the cars go straight back onto the dyno before any work is performed. What I have been seeing all last season is that even though the car still feel fast and pulls well the car is down on power after every race. I simply pull the coils and replace them w/ NEW OEM coils and guess what the power is back to where we started. I have a good friend that works with Speedsource and he has also has seen the same results. So back to where this started. I believe even though you may have decent used RX8 OEM coils I would suggest tested NEW OEM coils for your baseline. Hope this helps and I didn't mean take your post over..
