Default major electrical - no brake lights, radio, turn signals

so I messed up real good.

I did a piss poor job of routing the wires for the after market guages. The clutch pedal wore through some of the wires. I tapped the fused under the foot well for constant voltage and switched power. I used the ash tray to control the guage lights.

I drove it, parked it and came out a few hours later to drive it again. Car started right up. But I noticed the after market guages, radio, turn signals (makes indicator noise, but no lights), no tail lights, no dome lights, or power locks. My head lights work, warning lights, tach and other guages. Sun roof also works.

I replaced the suspect fuses under the foot well, but that didn't help. I have the electrical manual and I looked though it to find a common source but really couldn't find one, except the harness.

So is there a common spot to check under the hood? - fuses look good. I didn't see any blown and it doesn't seem that the relays are common. Or I am going to have to trouble shoot each one on its own?

Thanks in advance for any help. - stupid me .

double check ALL your fuses. You didn't happen to pull out your radio or do anything behind there, did you? I had an issue where I lost all tail lights, dash lights, turn signals, and it was the wiring harness in behind the radio that was rubbing against something when i pushed the deck back into the dash. Something was shorting out. I would go back to where you did the work wiring in the gauges, and make sure everything is wrapped really well and that it's not rubbing on something. Other than that, without seeing it, I couldn't really tell you.

will do this weekend. I have been so busy and then I got sick that I haven't had time to work on it.

I replaced all the fuses that had issues - door locks, brake lights..nothing worked. the guages are disconnected until I get the rest of it fixed. I see where the clutch pedal wore through the wires. stupid me, being stupid lazy.

Does the TNS relay affect the door locks, radio, turn signals and brake lights?

How much is a TNS relay?

Replaced the TNS - no luck. Turn signal makes sound, but not lights on dash or on outside of car.

turned out to be the BTN fuse in the engine bay. Electrical manual didn't say to check so I overlooked it. Spent a good part of the day rerouting the harness with a buddy. Much much better.

The aftermarket gauges work, but won't change display when the headlights are on. We checked and its getting voltage on the harness, so something is messed up inside--later it randomly switched displays.

Good to have it driveable again---life lesson 13423589097234--route better 1st time lazy ass.
