As for getting it to the gap, he needs an enclosed trailer (24/28ft) and a truck that can pull it. I can't wait to see it..... I might even drive down to his house just to see it

IF you were not running an OMP you would step up to 1oz/gal. Dumping it in prior to fillup helps the gas mix with the premix easier.

Most of my car's life was not premixed, but since I have had it the premix has helped it start and idle slightly better. I do it to raise compression because it is low...owners of newer/lower mile vehicles can do it to prevent compression loss in the first place.
I know I am late into reading this... But is it safe to do this? May be a stupid question since some are doing this for good. But I am always scared of screwing my 8 up, which the main reason why I don't touch anything under the hood besides regular maintenance. Are there any cons?

I don't have an idle problem and mine has 55k (04) on it. But Mike's has 52k (04) and has rough idle. The difference between his and mine is that mine was created in (GT)Jan of 04 and his is (T)Jun of 03. I have noticed some differences, his is much stiffer in the gears and steering. Mine is flexible but catches the shifts faster. Both are manual.

Does anyone have any insights on this? This has been on my mind. I am still waiting for my baby to come home. I had my VR put through a cosmetic refresh. Just had the VR completely repainted, new head lights and windshield. I had a gravel truck mess it up pretty bad.

Kevin,
If I remember right he said the car was 18' long. I personally would use a 24' for piece of mind but a 20' might work although tight! And with that car being mint....... well I would use the 24'
But anyhow he only has a F150 with no brake box / tow package so again I would not tow an enclosed 20ft - 24ft trailer with that truck that far.

He is looking at his options to getting it to the gap like Phil said. Lets hope we see it.

J2R, I been pre mixing my 8 for about a week now.. So far, no issues. Many people have been doing it and shouldn't be an issue.

Chad, So,... You don't have your enclosed trailer any more?? I told him to call you because I thought you had one.

I hope "he" brings it to the Gap. I know he said he wants to only show but no one will appreciate his car more than bunch of rotary guys.. And there wouldn't be as many rotary guys at one place like DGRR...

If that is the same one I saw for sale a few weeks ago, then it should be 100% legal already. All he has to do is register it and drive it to DGRR!!!

Nope sold it for $5200 a few months back. Only 200 miles on it and cost 6k.

As for his car, I don't blame him wanting to trailer it and have a nice place to park it in case of a rain storm. Heck, if I bring my FD it will be on a trailer so I can keep the miles down. Don't see too many FD's with under 40k.
His car is registered and tagged. Is it for sale....... only if you offer about 30-40K more than he paid for it. Other than that I would say he's gonna keep it.
