Default DGRR Caravan Routes

About 3 weeks till DGRR and not much info posted on caravans, date/time or check points along the route. This is the fun part of the journey to Deal's Gap, so let's get this organized. I know Chattanooga is usually the first stop/check point for the Alabama folks (I think Atlanta and Nashville too), so who's caravaning in and ETA? Come on people, post up!

I'm from central IL, so I was thinking to go down to Knoxville and get to the dragon from there? I dunno if anyone from Chicago or Indy might be going?

Leaving from Springfield, Il. on Thurs. Wouldn't normally go through Indy but if anyone else from the area is going on Thurs. I could detour a little.

FerociousP and I are leaving Thursday at 4pm (CST).

Our route is I-24 to Chattanooga, 75 North to Ootelwah, then following the Ocoee into NC to the city of Murphy, then over to NVNC.

Should take a little over 3 hours.

Anyone heading down from the Northeast and want to caravan? I'm thinking of leaving CT right after work on Thrus, traveling for about 6 hours and breaking for sleep somewhere in southern MD, waking up on Friday and and making it the rest of the way. All theory at this point, still haven't started the car

The canuck caravan will be leaving from windsor Ont. at 4pm on thursday. Driving until Cincinatti, then we break. Friday we'll be arriving in NV roughly around 2-3pm.

Not sure if that links up with any other caravans, we'll be heading down I-75 (? i think?) mostly.....

How are you planning to go? for me being in Champaign, I will need to go through indy, and I dont really see any other way except for taking the small highways around indy.

Perhaps we can meet up on the way?

That's a wierd route. I figured you guys would be coming through NY and heading due south... looks like you're heading west and crossing the border in MI? Doesn't really jive with my route though... I'm looking @ taking 81 for the most part.

Yeah we'll be going through MI. We went this way last year, and I thought going through Niagara/Buffalo would be faster but suprisingly its not, so we're taking the MI route again.

I guess we'll catch you down there
