In Need Of A New Clutch

Due to my newly found power, I'm in need of a new clutch. The one I have now is an RPS street clutch (5k miles). I need one that will hold at least 350 RWT, preferably 400 RWT to anticipate for future upgrade

	  Any suggestions?

I guess you could go with many different set ups.. I wouldnt recommend ACT SS. They say its rated around 400.. But I don't think so.. I think people had better luck with ACT pressure plate and 6 puck plate.. Or SPEC.. but some had some issues with their stage 3. I'm about to try one of Exedy clutch. I'll let you know how that goes... Also, I have a ACT MZ-011 - Heavy Duty Pressure Plate. Its used and needs a new clutch plate.. I'll sell you the Pressure plate by itself for 175.. This way you could just get a new 6 puck for like 125.. and have a kit for 300

The ACT 6 puck has been proven for a cheap clutch. I think my pricing for you is around $560.00 for a brand new one. I had a local guy make damn near 100 passes on that clutch and it was used when we installed. The car was trapping between 95-100mph in the 1/8th mile the whole time. Strong clutch for the money.

What about pedal feel? Harsh engagement? I would probably want a sprung disc. Let me know the cost for sprung 6 puck kit.

6 puck(ACT) sprung or unsprung is fine. Best bang for da buck.. I have ran the ACT street kit, SPEC 3+ and now ACT 6 unsprung. The street kit was great for under 350hp. I ran the crap out of it 100+ passes at the track. The SPEC 3+ = complete SHIT!!! ACT 6 puck has been great but I think I will be seeing its limits sson enough...

+1 on the ACT SS kit. it's good til about 350hp. I cooked mine 4-5 times launching and all it did was slip like crazy till it cooled off and then was fine afterwards.

I bought a regular Spec 3 just because I liked the one I had in my old car, so far it feels good, but I haven't done much with it. It does let out high, which I like, and it is grabby which can be a pain in traffic. The clutch pedal is alot softer than the ACT was.

What would be the total with shipping? Is there any other form of payment I could use to avoid the additional fee?

Hmmm, I think I need to research a little more... |
