the car: 87 nt has new fuel and air fillter new sock on the fuel pump all the lines replaced do to rust in the tank "hell to clean"

it runs strong. a litte mis at times

You may have simply left something open/disconnected/leaking when you pulled emissions. It's easy to miss something or not get something snug, I and many others have done it before. Did you pull the air pump or reroute the auxiliary intake port activators?

And at what RPM(s) does it cut fuel? I think the NA 2nd gen's are supposed to cut fuel somewhere above 8k (I've only had my '87 TII which cuts lower so I'm not sure).

Buy one of these, whether you think you have a vacuum leak or not, it's infinitely helpful. NA or turbo, it'll still show you potential leaks in your intake. A damn fine deal for $25, my TII ran ok before I used it, then I found at least 5 different leaks then it ran like a RAPED APE, MAN! Loud and fast as hell

If you have an air compressor then get this one:
Boost Leak Tester (Gauged)
3" Diameter
With Male Compressor Coupler
$20 + $4.60 shipping
