Default Obligatory introduction ;)

Signed up to this site, after reading the digizine. Just indulging the an obligatory hello

I'm a small time parts importer/yahoo japan auction service provider for the australian market, also a mod on the website perthrotor.com (just a small site at present).

Anyway a few pic's of my slightly deranged 89 vert

Started out as this when I imported it from japan.

Since it's been in my possession it's been bastardised a fair bit

Pic's are in no particular order.

I'll be repainting it in red soon though, black is nice but just picks up the dirt to much (especially if you have a cat that likes to walk all over it).

I'm still running around on a bum tune at present, so no hp figure for the setup for those interested.

You need a bigger intercooler and something that feeds 2 in and 1 out... However very nice..

Welcome aboard.

Ta for the welcome.

IC is deliberately specked to that size, it's a modified Blitz FD stock location ic weighing in at ~4" thick. Sporting an extremely minimal pressure drop (Just don't ask what it retails for). The smaller size Ic was chosen so to compromise the stock Cooling system less (in comparison to a Full size Front mount.). Any loss in ability to drop the intake charge temperature is compensated for with water injection (50/50 blend of water an alchol) under boost. This setup is all about response (why I might downgrade from two TD05h 18g turbochargers to 16g's) hence the choice of IC.

If by "feeds 2 in and 1 out" you are referring to the intake pipes joining prior to the intercooler this is undesirable. Joining the turbo's output before the IC (especially in the case of a non bridged manifold) is a recipe for increasing the chances of turbo charger reversion.

Welcome to the site. I'm digging that twin setup you have. What kind of throttle response do you have?

Hey Guy's been offline for a while

Anyway, descided I want a less congested engine bay, so this motor and turbo combination will be departing soon to be replaced with a 20b I bought a while back (but still in a container at present).

jerd_hambone : No stock water pump Has a craig davies electric one at present. As for the zebra prints, cat sleeps on them at present.

blwnrtr93 - Cheers for the welcome (despite the late reply). Response is very similar to a FD stock feel (not quite a quick though).
