Gasket Descriptions
Some of you might have noticed that some gaskets are getting hard to find.
As the cars get older they might be impossible to find. So, I think it would be nice if wemeasured and published the specs of them now so we can make our own later if we have to. Any comments/suggestions for improvement would be welcome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rx5hGKt1PY So, what if we started a guide to gaskets? Like so...

I did a little experiment today.
I took a shot of this gasket... http://rotarycarclub.com/showpost.ph...27&postcount=4 Then adjusted the size of the photo so that the dimensions match, printed it out. What I got was a almost perfect match for the original gasket. The photograph still needs a little adjustment to match the original exactly. Of course this is just one test, but I believe that using good photography, and software I can easilly produce new gaskets of the correct size. Then using the cutting machine produce good duplicates. I am going to try a few after the machine arrives and see how close I can get them.

if someone can get me a downloaded copy of Solidworks, i can make a 3d model of each gasket or any part and that can be used to make a plan for the gasket which can be used to produce any gasket...period.
