Default 42mm offset too much?

i saw some 17x7 wheels i liked but offset is 42. is that too much for a fc?

Stock TurboII wheels are +40 offset 16x7. It'll sit just a little bit deeper than a stock wheel. I personally wouldn't like that, go for something from +30 to +35 to have the wheels much more flush with the body.

deeper meaning inside wheel well more?
i have a 1" spacer in the rear would that help?

a spacer would definatly help. the right offset wheels would be even better

I have that offset on my car. I'm running 17x8 and 17x9 with a small spacer in the front

Here hope these help if not just let me know and I'll take more pics. Oh I've also dropped the car a 1in or so since this photo. The offset does limit me on that.
