Japan Vacation Part II, 7's Day/ (56K, Blow your head off)

For those that remember, i went to Japan in 2008 January for Auto salon, visiting some shop friends, and having some fun in Japan. I spent some time back in California (after living here for 12 years, it got boring again), so i went back. http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.ph...Japan+Vacation ^ Original thread from Jan 08 Ebisu 7's Day: Mr.Koseki from scoot and Mr.Akira Saito (who drives the red tamon designs Series 8 FD3S), picked me up from the hotel in sagamihara at around 3:30 am. I did not sleep a wink that night, because i did not want them to leave my ass behind (you snooze, you lose). They picked me up at the hotel: Then, some pictures from the 3 hours drive to the track, and pumping some gas. I was playing with my camera settings on my point and shoot camera. Rest Stop: We finally got there, and went to our Pit Area, and Mr.Koseki decided the car was not loud enough, so he fitted his one off "circuit exhaust" that was basically a sidepipe straightpipe exhaust for his 4 rotor. Some pictures of the R-Magic Crew: They had their Version 6 D1GP FD3S and their Ver 5. Rx8 Circuit car there. More pictures of the other shop cars as well. Notice the Side out exhaust ^^ The "T2" All carbon Time attack car from REVOLUTION that made its' debut this year. Laps: Yokohama's new replacement for the A048 R Compound tires, The ADVAN A050. We all went together to eat at a neighborhood restaurant after, and that concluded 7's day at EBISU Circuit, Next Day we had the meeting at Daikoku Futo Parking Area. Daikoku Futo Meeting started at around 7 pm the next day. I rode with a friend there to check it out. The White Chrome Hearts FD (Famous for its' really expensive platinum shift knob worth about $1000 USD) I also had a chance to meet Mr.Ito from Super Autobacs Chiba Naganuma the day before as well. |

Beauty of RCCD is that I could put this link on the Digizine.. I'm waiting on one more thing and when I update the RCCD, I'll include a link to this.. OR, ZGN could put a link on the website to this thread.. We'll get it worked out in next couple of days to get you most exposure!

What information would you like? There were quite a few grid races they had. Rx7 only race, Rx8 race, etc. Mr.Koseki from scoot sports is a friend of mine. I asked him before i left if i could roll with him to 7's day. He said yes. |

What a wonderful holiday. It is obvious that there is somewhat of a following for the old girl there. A lot of time and effort has gone into those FD's shown. A lot of love and care went into every car shown. I was unaware that the FD is that well liked in Japan. Does the RX-8 get the same response in Japan?
