				S5 TII engine,to Run as S4 TII,in an S4 N/A!

Now before you get all Huffy,I'm Stuck In "N/A Land"!..heh..I am getting a S5 TII engine/Trans(Maybe toast)..also a S5 TII KEG(good Runner). So,I am Thinking on Swapping Parts..the "kicker" is: I want to Run this Engine as an S4 TII...that is I have a S4 TII wiring harness,a S4 Megasquirt Plug and play, and some Sensors to Start the Whole Project off..so MY Question is What should I "look at",to give me some info as to What I have to Do?.(See?.I'm NOT asking you to reply with Info, just Throw a Link up,and I will read it!)..Also If anyone has Info on What I can run on this Car for a Front Mount Intercooler,(CHEAP..please.I am Retired,so I barely have money to own a Car,and EAT!)..Thanks Gentlemen, and I do mean Gentlemen!..Sincerely DAVE/STYX.

That is the set up that a friend of mine was running. S5 keg, manifolds, turbo with all the S4 wiring and sensors. Not hard to do. You just need to use the S4 front cover so you can use the mechanical OMP.

If you can get away with no emissions, strip that badboy naked. You'll thank me next time you have to fix anything!!

OH!..I forgot to mention.YES!.the "new Powerplant" Has an s4 Cover and OMP deleted. My Question is geared more towards Injectors,ETC..I am assuming that I can run S4 TII "type" injectors on the S5 TII and then use the S4 Sensors,Correct?..another Question is can I do a FD Upper manifold Conversion on this Baby, and get away with it,Without having problems?(I know that may involve a "spacer",is that Right also?).Thanks DJMTSU for replying..I hope this is Just a Start to some Giuys answering.IF it was just another N/A swap,I would be fine,But Frankly I Won't know HOW a TII engine is supposed to look until I get the Damn thing in my Truck and Bring it home!..Which is in THREE Weeks!..Ya-HOO!...STYX!~

Yes, I do believe I have seen people do the FD upper manifold/TB on the 13BT engine.

You can use the FD UIM if you use an S5 LIM. You can either make your own adapter, or there are some out there pre-made but spendy.

The injectors and sensors all go in just fine, so no problems there.

The injectors for late model S4 TII's and S5's are identical impedance and size wise. Like stated above, you need the S5 LIM for the FD UIM conversion, but I am not sure why you want to make it harder just yet. This is something I would personally save for a weekend of fabrication.

Front mount intercooler systems can be built on the cheap, I'd take a peek at www.corksport.com for their kit. It is cheap and effective, plus it looks nice. But the TMIC should work just fine as long as you have a TII hood, unless you plan on pushing some serious boost then go FMIC all the way. |

The FD UIM is really just a looks thing. There has been zero proof that it give any HP increase. However, with it on you can reach all the injectors and the oil injectors and lines without removing the manifolds!

It does make running intercooler plumbing a little easier since you use the FD TB. That's my .02.

I have a question: IF you run the excessive FD lower manifold, that WILL bolt up to the upper one 100%, but what about the 13BT engine? IS the lower mani mounting different on them?

So? You quote me but dont answer?

![]() Also, I think that the bend is fine, as the lower FD mani is the real culprit, seeing as it makes one rotor rich, and the other one lean.

so can you put that part on the FC or not? I mean, technically you shouldnt be able to, but maybe there's a way? I always favored the FD intake anyway...
