oil leak issues
Ok so I just bought a 1987 turbo two. It runs great but has a serious oil leak at first I thought it was just my oil pan gasket so I replaced it. When I was replacing it I noticed it was comings from the top of my engine. So I took off my upper intake manifold to get a better look. It looked like it was coming from one of the lines under my smaller fuel rail so I remove that. While cleaning I broke a plastic clear line running to somthing that goes into the engine I have no idea what it is. So 1 does anyone know and 2 any ideas where my leak could be coming from?

How much oil is leaking and where does it collect/end up? Front, rear, left or right side of the engine? Taking a picture & posting it here would be helpful. Otherwise we would just be taking wild ass guesses on the source of the leak.
Not sure why you would just go ahead and replace an oil pan gasket for a leak you described as "serious". "Serious" means lots of oil volume/flow to me. An oil pan gasket leak would never be a gushing or "serious" leak as you described. Did you try using normal automotive troubleshooting techniques to spot the leak before diving in to replace the gasket? I.e., clean the oily mess with engine cleaner/water WITHOUT taking anything apart, run the engine, observe closely and ID the source of the leak. The plastic lines you broke were the oil metering pump feed lines, so you just created a new oil leak you need to fix. There are 4 plastic lines that run from the metering oil pump (MOP) on the engine's front cover, to the 4 oil injectors on the block. Since it sounds like you're a newbie on rotaries, and perhaps limited mechanical experience in general, the first thing you need to do is download an FSM (Factory Shop Manual). If you do a search for FSM this website, you'll find links to another website that has pretty much all the RX7 FSMs available for download as PDF files. Download the FSM for your car, and get very familiar with it. It sounds to me like you had a leak from one of your OMP (Oil Metering Pump) lines. This is NOT a good thing!!! Just to be safe I would start premixing (2-stroke ashless premix, make sure its tcw-3) 1oz. per gallon of gas until you get that fixed..
Also, just an fyi.. rotaries are designed to have oil injected into the combustion chamber to lubricate the seals. This is a REQUIRED process. If you broke one of the lines delivering this oil for injection you're going to need to replace/fix that immediately. People will commonly remove the factory oil injection equipment because of the potential for malfunction (like you're experiencing), but it is critical that you account for that by pouring lubricating oil directly into the fuel tank. The standard accepted ratio of oil to fuel is 1:128, or 1oz (US) to 1gal (US). You could throw in 1oz per 3 litres of fuel to be safe.

i fixed the oil line that was broken going to my oil injectors. i replaced the gasket because i had one on hand and when i cleaned it off and rechecked for the leak location it looked like it was dripping from the drain pan. i think it might be coming from my rear main seal. the oil is coming from around where the engine mounts up to the bell housing and is streaming down the top of the transmission. i didnt know if there was a line coming from the top of the engine that it could be dripping for thats why i pulled the intake manifold to double check. are there any thoughts on if it could be the rear main seal and if not do you know of a common problem that it could be. thanks for the advice and links i really appreciate it.

You have a manual trans, correct? Assume so being it's a US market T2. Easy way to check if the rear main seal is leaking is to remove the small inspection cover (4x 10mm bolts) on the bottom of the bell housing and have a look with a good flashlight & an inspection mirror.

Yeah gonna check that out today after I reinstalled the intake manifold I think I missed something cuz I now have a fuel leak I took the manifold back off and I can't tell where it's coming from its a German speck car but I think it's all the same
