While we're at it, which products and tools do you recommend for smaller gauge wire crimps?

I'm an FC owner two! And that means two things.... Grammar humor.. humor me.. it's late!

I really like the crimper. It's handy, does a good job, and unless you're crimping MONSTER cable, it's pretty easy as well... as in doesn't require a lot of effort.

No Bolt-ons allowed. Dyno'ed @ Speed1 Tuned by me - 405rwhp on WG.... WM50 cuming soon.

I actually use and own one of those "Deka" hammer crimper for the bigger stuff.
I don't need another huge set of "pliers" just to handle the occasional 8AWG - 2/0AWG crimp here and there.

For the smaller stuff...
If I want nice and tidy, I'll grab my MSD modular crimp pliers with the proper set of jaws.
If I'm lazy, then I'll just grab my set of Channellock crimpers (blue handle).

Glenny has those MSD crimps... they're nice, but I prefer NOT to have to constantly change out jaws. Last night for example I had three sets of crimps out.... annoyed I would be if I was constantly changing them.

The Battery cable crimper... well... I've done a lot of wiring in the marine world and that's all heavy gauge shit... plus I've rewired more than a few boats... sooo yeah... I crimp a lot of 8+ gauge wire... or (-) as the case may be :scratchL

If running the positive cable to a junction block, what size stud is required? Would 3/8" be sufficient?

3/8 would be more than sufficient.
Check out Waytek wire or west marine, they've got some really nice ones as well.
