First post on RCC

Not exactly "new" to the forum but this is my first post I think...I live in Deatsville, AL and own a 93 Brilliant Black FD. Deatsville is nothing more than a blip on the map but it's about 20minutes north of Montgomery. I've owned 3 other rx7's but this is my first and so far only 3rd gen. The others were FC's, one a turbo 2. I already know Kevin, Phil, and Grant as well as a few others but always like meeting like minded rotor heads.

I'd been having some real troubles with my car lately but today I managed to get it back on track and breathing on it's own. I got a bit of motivation from seeing Kevin out enjoying his today so I wrote a little "Love Hate Relationship" status on my facebook after I fixed my own. Kevin thought it should be shared on here and so did I...So for everyone else to enjoy, I guess...

Love, Hate relationship

Couple things: Worked on the rx7 today. Earlier I couldn't get it to stay running and was fighting a bad flooding problem. I got super frustrated with the situation. (Hate) Later I decided after reading up on flooding and deflooding scenarios I decided to give it a go. Followed the procedure and then put everything back together, again. Hooked up to my other car for a jump, turned the key over a few times, nothing. Turned over once more, lift off.

It ran with a very smooth idle and did not experience any hiccups or backfires (Love). gathered all of my tools from around the engine bay area, cleaned up around the car, and backed it out of the car port. Ran it up and down my sister's driveway (it's long enough to get up to about 45mph safely) with a peak rpm of 6701 (thanks power fc commander!) it. ran. amazing. Like nothing was ever wrong with it even. I owe a huge thanks to Phil for giving advice and helping solve the issue it was having. Without him that car may still be in pieces and I'd still be pissed off.

I still have to make sure everything is going to be in order before I take it back out on the road though, I don't like being stranded. I can definitely say without a doubt owning a rotary is a love hate relationship but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
