Pretty useless on the RX8. Good for like 1~2 HP tops, and that's not even guaranteed.

yea i noticed alot of people say its a waste of time and money but i am wanting to get one so i can have one.. something that is an ez installed and isnt cheap, i am aiming for quicker rpm climb and something to look cool under the hood. so what is a good brand or company that mazda likes or is healthy for the car instead of some cheap rip off version.

you cant even really see the eshaft pully unless you have the battery and air box out, so you loose the visual benefit too. If you want quicker revs get a lighter flywheel

You can see the pulley easily, at least if u're standing on the side of the engine bay.

Does it worth it? Shit that's just a personal thing. me? It's worth it, it's just at the bottom of my "to mod" list. that's all. |

SR motorsports stuff are overrated and WAYYYYY over priced.

and there is almost no point to buy under-drive pulleys, if u want to prevent water pump cavitation, then just buy a Mazmart water pump, and while you are at it, get their lower temp thermostat too, I remember it opens at 75 celsius, stock is around 82 or 85 I probably gonna get the Greddy Pulley, it's same size as stock so u will not gain anything other than it looks cool. |

Their 93-95 RX-7 Main Power Pulley is one of the best ever offered and a good price. You only have to replace the e-shaft pulley and no others. Have had mine from back in the mid 90s and it is still perfect.

Unless you are looking to dress up the engine bay, there is no point. That is the only reason why I plan on getting one.......a long time from now. Its one of the last things on my list. Get a fly wheel, better investment.

pulleys are wast of money and time you spend to install them. like the other guys mentioned, light flywheel will get you more bang for the buck, or a good exhaust header/ free flowing cat back...
