any experience with godspeed intercooler?
I have a chance to get one of theses for around 200$, its not the kit for the rx but I can get the fmic and 2x the piping. My question is rather or not I should take it. Here's the link to the exact one. http://www.godspeedproject.com/store...oducts_id=1440

So you're saying you can get an intercooler for an RSX for $200?
Did you know you can get those 24" x 12" x 3" intercoolers for $100 brand new off eBay? -Ted |

This is true, but, most of the AL that I've bought off ebizzle has been really shitty alloy, not tough to weld, just cheap and dirty. Also, most of the cheap intercoolers that I've seen from ebay don't have turbulators and aren't as effeicient as a decent name brand intercooler. Plus the pressure drop across. The core was ridiculous.
I recall a heated debate over this on the evil forum in the 3rd gen section. Someone actually got all the equipment to properly test the cores and found out just those facts. I believe the godspeed intercoolers were cheap for a reason

FWIW though, I've been running over 400whp through a godspeed intercooler for quite a while. (over 2 years, plenty of road miles - lost count)
I'm sure a better more effcient core would maximize my cooling, probably gain a bit of power - or on the other side, a smaller more effcient core cuold gain response - but has it worked? Oh yes. Was it cheap - you bet. |
