Default CT Meets

Hi everyone. I haven't been on here in a long time but I figured I'd let everyone know that there are Mazda meets going on quite often in the summer. A bunch of friends and I on Mazdas247 and RX8club meet up in Danbury twice a month, ususally on the 2nd and 4th week of the month. It would be cool to see a few more rotaries and especially some older ones. So far there are quite a few Speed3s, Speed6s, and only 3-4 Rotaries. We get some decent get togethers and we just check out each others cars and share info and get some ideas on builds and opinions. I know I would like to see a few more rotaries as well. The next meet is on the 9th, I'll let you guys know where, if anybody is interested.

Post up the locations and times and I'll try to make it up. I lived in Danbury for a while so I know it pretty well.

Will do bud. Its usually at 8PM, we've been kicked out of the mall and Stew Leonards so we're trying to find a place where we won't be bothered. I guess its hard for others to realize that we're not riced out Hondas.

The last diff that I had came with a bent pinion. Bent by about 12 thou. Just enough to make the fucker vibrate like a bastard. I couldn't figure it out, didn't think to check that, gave it to Dave and he found that problem. So I bought a ring/pinion from a member and gave it to Dave to set up seeing as he found the problem, he should get the job to fix it right? Well, the ring gear had some step wear so @ 5 thoug backlash it wold lock, it wouldn't turn smooth until 20 though backlash. That's apparently too much becuase the fucker clunks and clanks around, howls and grinds and is just a general bitch.

Let me make this clear - this was NOT Dave's fault by any stretch of the imagination. We knew this might happen going into it and I decided to flip the coin. Bad move. You can't polish a turd and you can't build things right with bad parts. My fault, not Daves.

False! You can totally polish a turd. Have you not seen that myth busters?
