Default rewire fogs, headlight motors, and high beams

I am currently replacing all the bulbs in my car with HID's and wanted to change some stuff around. This is all on a s5 vert btw

first off my highbeams haven't worked since I bought the car, if I pull on the light stalk with the headlights off it will flash them but only the low beams, however with the lights on I pull the stalk and nothing happens. Do the high beams use a seperate fuse or a relay or is this a common problem that is fixed else where? The bulbs are brand new so that's not the issue

Secondly I want to wire it so I can turn my fog lights on without having to turn on my headlights even if I have to turn on my parking lights that's ok just want fogs without headlights...any wiring suggestions I would appreciate it.

Lastly and not highly important but I want to know if its possible to rewire the headlight switch where when I turn the headlights on the headlight motor switch will still allow me to flip them down and direct them through the ftp's.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Icemark used to build switches that could do exactly what you want. I was actually about to order one when he unfortunately passed away.

Does anyone know if he passed his knowledge to anyone? I would like to know!!

I know funkspectrum has his old 10thAE. Maybe he can help.

For the fogs you'll need to find a source of constant 12+V and put it on the fog light switch's Red/Black wire. The pic I attached is from the '91 wiring diagram.

Found this in one of Icemark's post a while back for the headlight switch:
Quote:
remove Diode D4 from the inside of the light switch and then they only raise when you use the headlight cleaner switch.
No clue why the light switch is acting up.
