Default Turbocharger leaking oil, wth?

Well, I've had this issue for a while, and since I've finally got time off from school and everything, the problem will be addressed THIS WEEK. Basically, my turbocharger is leaking oil really bad. The car is smoking, of course, and oil is leaking out where the hotside mates to the rest of the turbo. Is there anything, other than internal oil seals on the turbo, that would cause this issue? I've already found the rebuild kit for the turbo, so I'm gonna rip out the turbo and pull it apart to see what has happened inside. But before I do all that, is there something else that I should check first? It is a stock turbo from an 87 TII. I did have the wastegate ported when I had the motor rebuilt, but I dunno if that has anything to do with it.

I got the turbo out and partially dismantled. Something is definitely wrong with it. The shaft requires quite a bit of force to turn, and doesn't spin freely. There was a bit of oil sitting on the hotside when I popped it off. I tried lookin through the FSM for a disassembly guide, but all I could find was "if the shaft doesn't spin properly, replace the turbo." Anybody know of a good guide to disassemble this thing?

While I would enjoy a turbo upgrade, I just don't have the money to do it right now. I guess I'll try to source me a used turbo to slap in there to try to get the thing running. If anybody cares to see, I put some pictures of it (the turbo) up on a blog I made for my car.

I also posted this on "teh ev1L 4um" in an effort to get as many ideas as possible. Anyway, anyone got a spare S4 turbo layin around?

Also, I guess if I got another turbo I'd be able to use my turbine side, since it has a ported wastegate flapper?

The housing looks fine.

Here are the pics of the damage:

I called about an S4 turbocharger today, and could only turn up an S5. I don't really know if I should gamble with rebuilding this one, and I'd rather just put another one in. Then I guess I'd run the risk of the same thing happening.

Well hot damn. I was just about to ask that. Well I guess I'll make that trip to Mazmart to pick it up.
