Looks great Tim!

I may have a brand new OEM fan motor if you want it. I am moving to a different radiator/intake/fan/ac condenssor setup that is much more integrated than the stock adapted setup so I will have that fan motor laying around. I replaced it last year and I was blown away how worn out my 70k mile fan motors were.

Also... if my fan stuff comes soon, we could build a harness extension with my connectors so that you don't have to splice into your harness. We will have to see how the timing works out. I should start getting everything in a week or so.

Your engine bay sure is filling up! With that W/A injection I sold you, what power goal are you shooting for? The limit is going to be HIGH...it is going to be a monster!

hey your running 4 yaw secondaries 1000cc right? whats the ohms for them and how are they wired through the PFC (series or paralell)? i may just end up with this same fuel system. lol come to think of it alot of mine will be close to this build.

My guess would be parallel, and I dont think resistors are needed. However, I've PM'd Glen at AZRR and asked him to comment since he did my build.

Thanks for the offer on the fan motor Brian. I just may take you up on that. Also, if you're serious about your harness connector(s) offer, I may delay wiring of the fans to the last item, just to take advantage of that offer. Thank you!

Power goal is 400RWHP between 14 and 16 psi, which I believe is VERY realistic. I'm thinking it will be in the neighborhood of 425RW if I set my boost closer to 16 psi, but we'll see. Lots of determining factors. The W/I will be used mainly as a safety buffer, especially in the Summertime.

One of the worst things you can do to an injector is put a resistor on it.

Tims setup is wired in parallel

How soon is the car going to run? Mine is at the shop right now *fingers crossed* hopefully going to start up tomorrow. I cant wait to make it back to tucson and drive the RX. I cant wait to see your done. Looks great and I know that Glen and Tom do a great job on the rebuild, sometimes too good.

Welcome back next week. You've definitely earned your time off! Yes, I stopped over to check out your ride yesterday. Seems to be coming together nicely. They just started it up yesterday!!!! I know how the wait is and how hard it is to just sit on a car and not drive it. I sent you a pm about the turn signals. I hope that glen and tom have a meet sometime and get all the azrr cars together for a cruise.

i understand this but what is the inmepence of the injectors being used in this car? the reason i ask is i want to do a very similar fuel set-up but the yaw injectors i was looking at are 13ohm and wiring them into parallel would put the ohm draw to 6.5ohm's and from what i understand anything under 10ohm's or more importantly over 1-1.3amp's on a PFC will burn up the driver? so are you using a different ohm injectors or do you have an explanation on to why it wouldnt burn up the PFC coils in your setup?
any info is greatly appreciated

I happen to have 4 780cc's yawpower injectors just lying around here. Took my ohmmeter to one of them and measured 12.5ohms. If the 2 injectors are fed 12V power in parallel, that will be approx 1.92 amps.

If you don't mind me asking here, where did you get the 1.3 amp figure? I also happen to be an electrical engineer designing industrial computer boards very similar to a ECU such as the PFC.

the amp figure isnt exact mind you its basicly what has worked for others in the past without burning up PFC drivers. now youd have to check the drivers in the PFC to get the exact amp but i dont have that ability curently. im just wanting to know what these injectors ohm is to see where they would come out amp draw wise. so that i can chose the correct ohm injectors for my project, maybe these guys know something i dont.

I'm sure AZRR has something figured out. He might be using an FJO injector driver. He's also got gobs of injector capacity so will never probably have to run the injectors anywhere close to 100% duty.

Not that anyone would probably care (electronics are pretty boring stuff to everybody but me), but typically output current capability of a switching circuit such as an injector driver is completely dependent on proper heat-sinking and transistor/FET Ron resistance. (i.e. completely a thermal issue) If anybody has a picture of the internal heatsinks of the PFC injector drivers and their part number, I can compute close to exactly the ambient temperature at which point the silicon will self-destruct at a given duty-cycle/RPM.

I think Glen had mentioned at one time that the 4 1000 cc injectors would be run at a very low duty cycle based on the power goals I was looking to achieve.
