whats wrong with this setup?(pics included)
i just tapped the acv block off plate for the boost gauge but im not getting any vacuum or boost off of it once the car is started. ignore the color and rtv coming out the side. i know its not leaking cause the car idles but when i pull the vac line off the car still idles and doesnt die so i know its not pulling vacuum.

Probably not actually seeing vaccum. I'm not a fan of tappign that plate myself...I prefer a more "direct" method of eitehr tapping a runner or something of the like.
Could also be bunged up with RTV? |

your much better off taking a tee off the MAP sensor line close to the manifold.

Yup most people tee off the MAP signal, simple, easy, and it works.

Where's the map sensor at? Are you talking about the line that the pressure sensor is connected to?

passenger side of the engine bay (or driver side if you got a RHD car ) near the strut tower next to the AFM or MAF (depending if its s4 or s5) it has a vacuum line going to it and the top will say N3XX PRESSURE SENSOR, its black and is only 1"x3" black rectangle looking thing.

well the problem for me with the map sensor is if i do that then i dont have enough pressure for my BOV to open.
i have heard now that on the UIM near the throttle body. the three nipples pointing towards the front of the car can be used for this and the middle one is the best. so im going to experiment with a few things |

My BOV works fine and my signal is split to the sensor, BOV (Apexi) and the boost gauge.

I was confused. Everything I've ever read has called that a "pressure sensor" on the TII's and a "boost sensor" on the NA's.

Exactly...I ran my Map sensor, fpr, bov, boost gauge, and water/meth sensor all off the same post with no problems.

You can tap into the same line for BOV. It wont affect the devices at all. Vac exists whenever there is absence of pressure, if your connections are not TIGHT, then maybe it would affect the BOV from working as well. However, you should also have an adjustment on the BOV (if aftermarket) to firm it up if needed...
