You're not giving us enough information, so we can't give you a detailed answer...
"Diesel turbo" and "7psi" doesn't tell us jack shit. At minimum, we need to know: compressor wheel trim - inducer (minor) and exducer (major) wheel diameters turbine wheel trim - inducer (major) and exducer (minor) wheel diameters turbine A / R Until you can give us these specs, others are only going to give you a WAG... -Ted |

but it's not a stock turbo......7psi on a diesel turbo isn't teh same as a stock turbo.
If anything the NItrous might help him spool it easier but asking to guess power is crazy..... Do finish up andpost results though...I wanna see when you see full boost.

A hybrid stock turbo, or an eBay T04 manifold with a T04 turbo would be better than the diesel turbo.

I am not sure on this.... If he is using a 13B setup with 12A plates, will he need a 12A or 13B manifold setup?

The lower manifold would have to be 12A, if he is using 12A plates it must be a 12A keg. So anything else wouldn't fit on the motor but the 12A size parts. It may be adapted to work with some sort of 13B upper intake though. It could also have been custom.

The plates won't matter - the housings are where the main difference (width wise) is at.
If there's 13B rotors/housings - 13B width If there's 12A rotors/housings - 12A width |

MEASURE!!
If it is a bastard engine, and requires a 12a exhaust manifold, he might be in for some fab work. Get a 12a exhaust flange (mazdatrix or RB sells them) get a cheap T04 manifold off eBay for an FC or FD(+/-$100) hack off the flange and start to pie cut and weld!! Genius!
