Default Found - Replacement alternator connector for S5 FC3S and FD3S

If you're reading this you probably already know Mazda doesn't sell the connector without the harness. I just wanted to put this here so others can get what they need a little easier.

After a long Google image search under " alternator connectors " and a trip to the salvage yard, I found that the older Dodge Neon alt connectors are a direct fit. I was looking at 95's.

** Edit: After looking at more alternator pics it looks like they can be found on 95'-97' and possibly 95'-01' Neons.

The alt is a bit of a pain to get to. It's located behind and underneath the engine on the passenger side. You can either crawl under or turn the wheel full right to reach through the opening behind the passenger side tire. Feel for the connector, push the tab, wiggle it loose and snip it off.

I'm pretty sure your salvage yards will have rows of Neon's too. Much easier then trying to find a non picked over 7. I grabbed 2 for $6.00

Edit: Here is another source for the connector. Part number C1900

Its a Nippondenso alternator, so there should be a while lotta junkyard connectors out there. Most Nissans run Denso's, and the plug is similar, I will confirm tomorrow at work!

We need to compile a list of interchangeable parts. I tried to start a list on the other forum but pretty much no one helped. Maybe I'll start compiling one one day of all the various parts and have the database link to a wiki or something in case modifications have to take place and for discussion and so on.

Speak of the devil...

Add some more entries... It's unlocked right now and I may lock it down if things start getting stupid or close it all together.
