Mr. Gasket fuel Pressure gauges suck!!!

Well i put on my Aeromotive 13301 boost referenced pressure regulator(3-20psi spring installed) figuring im going turbo so im gonna need one anyways... Well got it all installed and i had a mr gasket gauge from a while back so i put that on there and turned the regulator all the way down. Turn on teh key and wham 7psi of pressure so i decided to see how far the gauge is off and turned the pressure up to see where it goes to it went up to about 13 or so psi... i turned it down after that for fear of flooding the car... Best part is my pump is only rated at 7-9 psi or so, so i know the gauge is way far off, Guess its time to buy one of those respeed gauges I didnt think it would be that fucked up.. and the car runs good no flooding problems or anything like that.. on a side note i also installed a summit CD ignition box and wow does it do a good job, smoothed the idle out a bit and seems to help alot during acceleration.. |
