New from California

Hey, I'm new to the forums and Rotaries in general, but just came by a 90's RX-7 FC. I know most of the basics(no cold starts, religiously checking and changing the oil, etc) but considering how nice it is, I want to really take care of it and learn a lot more about it. So I appreciate any good tips and help!

Take care of it and it will take care of you.

As a new owner, check the fluids, filters, belts, hoses, plugs and wires are in newish condition. if you can't tell, then replace it to be sure. (I actually keep a log sheet).
Give it a good cleaning top to bottom, inside and out, and under the hood of course.
Being from California, you probably have all the cats installed. Make sure they are not clogged or possibly replace with hi-flo ones. (Exhaust restriction = performance restriction)
My first upgrades were exhaust and suspension related because my stock shocks/struts were shot. I put on Tokico Blues with Eibach springs. I also added Eibach anti-sway bars, but that didn't make too big of a difference.

How do you plan to enjoy you new car? Autocross? weekend cruise? Show and shine? dailydriver? No matter, Enjoy!!

I would love to get it ready for autocross and the like, but first and foremost it's my daily driver. Been working on replacing everything and fixing some small electrical issues(bad switches and the like). New suspension is probably a good idea since my current set is getting old. Gonna put off the exhaust for now, since it was replaced recently anyways. Registered the car in my home state, NH, so that I could avoid Cali's environmental restrictions.
