Oxygen sensors..
OK.. By looks of it, there are two O2 Sensors on the 8..
Which one is used for idle?? Also, they are kind of expensive!! Can the O2 sensors be cleaned and re-used?

Probably both are used to idle the car.
but if not, the one closer to the exhaust port. The other one (after the cat) is mainly for emisions purposes

You can go to autozone and buy one of their cheaper ones. All O2 Sensors are virtually the same, the price difference is mainly the specialized plug on the end of the wires. It wont have the correct plug (or any plugs for that matter), so you'll have to do some soldering.

Did you price the O2 Sensor that would fit your car or a universal one? I just went to AutoZone and they have several ranging from $70 (Post Cat) 4 wire Universal, others for ~$180 for Heated O.E. style.

Oh, it was for the 8 specific from advance..
I read more stuff last night and apprently O2 doesn't affect too much on idle...

OK.... Update...
I got some input from other rotary guys and decided to do some checking.. I tried to clean the crank angle sensor (which I couldn't reach) and other things... and when I started the car, it cranked and died about 3-5 seconds later.. I then cranked it again and it started but ran kind of rough and made some noise under the hood. So, I decided to check it out and started to touch few things here and there... And when I finally moved some wires.... all the sudden, car idles perfect!!! I can't fucking believe this fucking car is so sensitive! I've now tried and cranked several times and each time, idles perfect! I'm going to see tomorrow morning and see how it starts... Thats going to be the real test!

so you have a loose wire? Try and see if you can find the loose connection before driving it. You don't wanna get stranded somewhere.

I don't think its loose wire...
I let the engine cool back down and I crank the car again.. Car started right up and idled up to 2K RPM... then, it started to idle back and forth (hunting) around 1k to 500RPM... and eventually settling back down around 1k to 800ish RPM.. During the hunting, car ran kind of rough. I let the car warm up, shut it down, and cranked it again. It cranked right up and idled perfectly.. Again, I'm having the same similar issues..

I'd check your connections Phil, it kinda does sound like a loose wire somewhere. You might also, when you get some time, either put on a premade grounding kit or one of the do it/make it yourself ones. Its probley something fairly simply annoying as a loose wire that made better contact when you were pulling on things and made the idle decent and finally settled back out in a less than desirable connection from the motor vibration.

As far as the erratic idle at cold start: I'm thinking a leaky injector flooding the motor and making it idle weird when it turns on?
If you tap the gas will the car settle down? By tap I mean a mini tap, not even 200rpm. Try it at the next coldstart to see if it settles itself.

I've drove the car this morning to work... Started up fine, but start to hunt and died. Cranked it again and everything was fine. I drove 7-10 miles to work and everything was fine!
Ive checked pretty much everything.. I think after this weekend, I'm just going to take it to the dealer and ask them to plug it into their diagnostic machine... Luckily like everything else, I have some engine parts laying around at home.. Just need to find it
