DTSS - Ignore or ditch
As you may well know, I'm redoing my suspension system. I'm planning on redoing the rubber which includes the DTSS.
I have two options due to money: 1. Keep what's on there which is 22 years old 2. Replace it with regular bushings (DTSS eliminators) Any input on what would be better for someone looking for a nice handling car for places like the Dragon?

I had the DTSS eliminators on my old 91, and they are good for controlled slides, but actually take away from the grip of the rear suspension. The 90 I have now has good working DTSS and I love it, works great.
One thing I noticed. When I had staggered fit wheels and tires (255 out back and 225's up front) the DTSS essentially did not function. The wide rear tires were forcing the rear to keep a straight path, overpowering the smaller front tires. Once I put the BBS's and 225's all around, I noticed the DTSS return, and I missed it!

Hmmmm, I like the concept of the DTSS system. I wonder if it's still working though.

Use the FSM to check them, I think it shows a way to do it without driving the car.

If it aint broke don't fix it. I'm one of the weird ones that might actually replace them with the stock ones if mine ever break. Low speed stability/maneuverability wins in my book. You get used to it.

it was MADE for safety. If you don't feel safe then you're not driving right or the DTSS is broken.
I wish I had better visuals: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-DgDl9tVTKc http://youtube.com/watch?v=m4CnBbj2i4Y
