Yeah, not buying it. One comment said closer to 500whp, but I'm not buying that either. That car has to weigh at least 800-1000lbs more than that FD.

looked like it just had a horribly peaky power band, he kept letting off as soon as he started to pull

That is my FD. It did just make 748whp. Maybe the dyno was way off??? I had the boost turned down a little but likely still above 650.I 'm about ready to ask my Nephew (GTR)to take this off the internet as many people are making a lot of assumptions without know the facts. Against my better judgement I'll make a few comments. First off, this was a computer generated simulation and wasn't real. The first 2 runs started between 40 and 50 mph. I was in 3rd cause 2nd blows the tires off. This is really slow for 3rd gear. As you'll notice, I'm coming up real fast but I'm getting to the top of 4th gear and don't want to get into boost in 5th gear. I was going way too fast anyway (145+). I also was spinning some in 3rd gear. On the last run, I did brake boost and it was smoother and I pulled him much better. The GTR is really fast and with its trans he can stay in the powerband and shifting is super fast. The car isn't really too peaky and makes peak tq at about 5500 rpm. The GTR makes more TQ than I do, stays in the peak tq range and doesn't spin. You lose ground quickly when you spin in 3rd gear. Not making excuses but explaining.

I didnt know you were going down there and taking the FD. Good runs, Need some tires. Run anything else? The Cars usually put times down very close to what the dyno dictates.

I just moved to Georgia and my car was in Montgomery Alabama. I swung by and picked it up and trailered it down. I hammered a new Camaro... It was funny when the Camaro saw the flames, he started flashing his lights to let me know. The flames usually stay until I bump the throttle. I didn't run to much at night as I thought there were a lot of cops. I just didn't want a ticket for racing. Also, there seemed to be a lot of traffic even at 11pm. I didn't have a problem spinning in 3rd until I turned up the boost last fall. I'll get stickier tires when these wear out.
