				rear end interchange questions
			 
			
			i have a 73 rx2 and i want a posi and rear disk brakes,i found yhat 81-83 gsl member fits right in (small axel) my question is can i use an 84-85 (large axel)member ,axles and disk brakes in my rx2 housing ?   |

			Rx7 rears are longer than rx2 rears... Which makes the axels longer, obviously.

			I think the best to do is get a Toyota pickup rear end and have it cut to fix.The rear comes in 33 spin some come with posi and its strong or a ford 8.8 from a Ford Explorer.Some are posi with 373 gears and rear dish.Any way you look it going cost you a little cash.The best thing to do is do your homework .I been up and down myself on what to do with my Rx3 about a rearend. I think the Toyota is better,It's lighter,stronger. Good luck!!! |

			Im going with a ford 8"rear end ,almost done with it .Its 28 spline (the same as an old 9") ,parts are easy to find and they are inexpensive .Im a big rx2 nut but  wish it was a rx3 because the fab would be so much easer .
