front bumper
I am finishing up the fiberglass work on my 85. It has fiberglass doors, front fenders, hood, and valance right now. I have the front bumper as well, but I am undecided...
It only weight about 4-5 pounds and is a great light weight option, but it is a mold of the factory bumper. This car will be for drag use only and never see the street. I have been wondering if it will be better to get a full front bumper similar to imsa style. Not a half bumper, but a full bolt on fiberglass bumper. The weight gain shouldnt be more than 10lbs and i am thinking the aerodynamics of it would be worth the slight weight gain... Any recommendations on a front end? I havnt been able to find any used ones after a few months of looking. So i will have to probley buy new. But don't really know where to look besides eBay... And they don't say whether they are half or full bumpers.

Although I really like that front lip, I need a full bumper. Not just a lip.
I'm putting this on for function, not looks.

I plan on getting those rear over fenders, from mazdaspeed, but i think ill have to make my own for the front fenders. trying to mimic this.

Man, I can not find pics of the MazdaSpeed front air dams anywhere... Anyone have some?
I been looking at these, but I think these will be a little heavier then I want. But I am pretty sure this is a full front. And a little to pricey as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/79-85-Mazda-...item5d3210839e This one is decently priced, but I am unsure if its a half or full bumper. anyone know? http://www.ebay.com/itm/180639690028...84.m1423.l2649

Here's 2 older photos when I was putting the doors on. Both doors are on now and I'm currently building the frames to hold the lexan window in them. The were VERY rough when I got them. they needed to be trimmed the entire way all around. They were basically popped from the mold and sent out. No holes or any mounting hardware. These are drag car specific, you drill, cut, sand, mount, ect.
Worth it thought considering they way almost nothing... Oh, and I wount be running the draglites either... they are just there for now. The real wheels are sitting in the garage along with the rear, tranny, ect. Not installing any of the big stuff until I finish the exterior and interior...
