1984 rx7
Hi, I am newish here so I would like to introduce my '84 rx7 GSL. First the pics then the issues.
Sorry i took the pics a while ago so the quality is not there. But now the issues: Issues that are being repaired: Miswired fuel pump causing pump to literally over fill the carb (I mean filling the carb all the way up causing gas to run out of the carb). Having it wired into the auto trans connection didn't help that. New fuel pump (factory style ordered) Coolant level sensor (plastic cap was super glued in place but it still leaked) LMAO But it appears the seals on the motor are good. As well as the heater core. New one ordered Rebuilt carb is in question????? Base gasket is shot and leaks fuel. Rust holes in rear wheel well areas, and along side lower rear suspension, lower rear valance, and lower rear 1/4s as well. But for a midwest car it is surprisingly clean, floors are solid (lots of surface rust but no rust holes). No dash or door lights ???? wiring issue maybe or something else checked fuses all appear in good shape. But everything else works like it came out of 1984. Now on to info of about the car. 1984 RX7 red out side grey inside 2 seater, 5 speed, factory AC (long gone now) 12a with 111,000 miles on the clock, 10 foot 1980s radio that still works as if it was in the 80's. Inside is clean I mean clean no cracks in the dash carpet is dirty a good shampoo will fix that front seats need to be recovered. Next plans after fuel pump is installed is to do a tune up and replace the carb gasket as well. Once she gets running she will go to a body shop to get the rust holes repaired to make her more comfortable to drive. So that is my Story I will get pics and update as much as I can with pics. |

The part I am refering to is located on the drivers side rear frame rail close to the fuel filter. It looks like fuel lines go in it???
As for rust free broncos the 78 is much cleaner then the 95....... hell the rx7 has less rust then the 95 LMAO. |
