Invitation to our Annual 2011 End of Season Meet of the Quebec RX Club
Moderator can this be a sticky? Thank you.
Hi All! You are all cordially invited to our annual (8th Edition) 2011 End of Season Mega Meet of the Quebec RX Club. It's the biggest and the best end of season rotary meet in Eastern Canada. We will also be celebrating the grand opening of DERWIN TUNING. Last year’s meet saw 60+ cars from Quebec and Ontario. This year’s goal is to have even more cars from all of Eastern Canada and and from the U.S. come on over. The meet is sponsored by TECHNO-CONTROL CYBERNETIC / MAZDA CANADA / DERWIN TUNING / DOCTEUR DU PARBRISE LONGUEUIL and more to come. Location: On the company grounds of: Techno-Control Cybernetic 3470, des Entreprises Blvd. Terrebonne QC J6X 4J8 It’s 15 minutes north of Montreal and the directions are easy to find using your GPS, Google Maps, Map Quest or other. Date: Saturday October 1st, 2011 (In case of rain, it will be postponed to Saturday, October 8th, 2011). Timetable: 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 PM. Parking access on Techno-Control Cybernetic grounds will be reserved in priority to rotary-engined vehicles, but there is tons of parking in front as well as on the sides of the building. The meet is open to all Mazda RX cars and other Mazda car clubs (rotary Wankel engine or other, Ex.: NSU???) Models: RX-All RX-2s; RX-3s; RX-4s; REPUs (Rotary engine pick up); RX-7s, all generations; and RX-8s. Light snacks, chips and beverages will be offered free. A donation for the club funds is appreciated and can be done on a voluntary basis. It will also be possible to register for club membership on site. Do not forget your membership card if you have one. Club T-shirts, club stickers and more will also be available, raffle and all. Continuous music for duration of the meet. Surprises for our club members. New this year! Departure at 3:00PM for Shawinigan. Crazy ride (itinerary to be confirmed), supper on a riverfront restaurant with parking for our rides and a photo session. Please confirm your presence for the supper, as we have to make arrangements with the restaurant. We might stop for a little karting session at Three Rivers (Trois Rivières) on the way back. This will be organized during supper. The original formula stays the same. The most RXs possible, great music, great people, big fun. Note: No beer will be tolerated, no exceptions and the Highway Code must be respected (no burnouts, no donuts, no revving of engines, etc...). It's all a question of insurance and good citizenship . . . and furthermore we don’t want you to have an accident or other misfortune. Talk about it with your friends in your car club and make it a club outing ! Hope to see you all in great numbers. Paul G. For those that didn't make it to our meet, here is a little "montage" done by our resident Steven Spielberg of our end of year meet and ride.
