Default S5 AC Questions

Flame it up, but where in the FSM is the AC information and system schematics? I couldn't find it this morning.

Since I am heading up to NYC this summer mid July, Im not sure i can be without AC. I have done my research, and Freeze12 is impossible to get anymore.

When I bought the car, the main valve had the stem removed, and the belt not attached, so its been empty for a while i guess. My option right now is to rebuild and convert, which is what I am doing. Im gona do it right the first time. I need to know where all the orings are that i need to replace. Im going to replace them, convert the valves, and suck out all the esther oil from the pump and system then recharge and lube with 134a.

Anyone have schematics?

Yup! That's what I used to diagnose my AC. I couldn't run 134a here in Cali, it's way too hot

ok, new question, the system, since there is no stem in the one valve, has been open to the atmosphere for who knows how long, should i pull the whole system out and blow it out with an air compressor? I already plan to pull the compressor and empty it of the oils in it, and the same with the condensor? in the dash. I am going to pull every fitting apart and put in new o-rings. Anything else I am missing? I have the belt sitting in the back right now, and the retro kit, and a pack of 0-rings.
