				making a nikki turbo intake

well i got a few nikki carb handed down to me. .two 79 to 80 and three off fb's...not so bad looking carb when you pull all the crap off of them...i am in the middle of boost prepping one of them.the stock intake is no good if you just want to use the stock s5 turbo manifold.so i decided to make a intake for it.and + i have never seen one before

Nice work..I love the Holley/turbo combos!!!

Make sure you post photos and instructions on prepping the carb plates, metering blocks both on marine carbs and regular carbs & and all other blow through related accessorizes. Holley prepped turbos are very inexpensive HP parts!! We have a customer that has run 8.60s on a Holley carb turbo!!!! |

The Nikki might be a bit small on a turbo combination as it only flows about 315 cfm in stock condition. I have been kicking around the possibility of using two Nikki's for a 630 cfm intake. Since you're making the intake anyway it might be fun. I've never heard of anyone doing this before, but I'm sure someone must have tried it. If nothing else a dual four barrel intake on a rotary would be a good conversation piece.

when your doing a blow through turbo setup the carb does not need to be big, it simply needs to flow enough fuel. @ 10 psi it flows way more than 600 cfm, thats for sure!! i made 540 rwhp with a nikki carb turbo. the challenge was always getting enough fuel, not air
