Wanted to say a quick hello to everyone on RCC: "Hello!" I'm from Houston, TX and currently working on my first rotary - 12A. It's going into a 1985 Corolla coupe (not uncommon). No, I'm not a crazy Puerto Rican just a goofy Filipino. Please excuse my poor welding. Still very much a novice welder. Looking into a Camden draw-through supercharger setup but planning to rock the IDA for a bit and try my hand at the DLIDFIS modification with the HEI modules. Hoping to learn more about Wankels. |

welcome to the club....that a cool project you got going their..the 12a is a good engine . i would not go with a camden...... been there done that.the camden is vary expensive and will not last long do to poor design.go turbo it is 1/2 the money of the camden if you go with a stock s5 turbo....

Hmmm, thanks for the suggestion on the Camden. I was eyeing some 48 IDA turbo setups. I was considering the Camden draw through route because of the fact I didn't have to prep for boost. With a turbo setup, I'm looking at a turbo, turbo manifold, piping, intercooler, bov, waste gate, intake box, hoses, braided oil lines, fittings and different fuel pump. I could stick with the Aeromotive 13301 fpr? Will I have to change out the floats and gaskets on the IDA? Looks like I'll have to hit the books a bit more. | |
