Speedometer Cable Problem
After j-spec TII engine swap, my oem speedometer cable broke. I figured it was simply because it was old. I ordered and installed a Doorman speedo cable. It seemed to work great for about 20-30 miles, then it broke in almost the identical place at the OEM one did (about 6-10" behind the speedometer). What is causing this?
I'm going to pull the aftermarket one and take it back so I can get a replacement.

Do you have it kinked or bent fairly sharp around the point it broke?

I don't think it was kinked anywhere. The aftermarket one is longer so it's actually easier to route it. They both broke near the firewall exit, I'll be careful to watch what angle and stuff it's going when I reinstall the next one.
