any oem D shaft tps sensors?

im pretty sure my haltech tps is screwed. With the accel enrichment table up on the MS and even without the engine running, i see readings from 9 %/s to even 200 or more %/s without touching the pedal. Its causing a lot of low speed bucking and poor running due to the acceleration enrichment activating. so in lieu of spending 100 dollars on another haltech tps, is there something i can get from a junkyard? I really dont have to modify my throttle body shaft to accept something like a blade type GM sensor.

Why mess with OEM crap? That's exactly what the Haltech unit is... It's a Ford unit with a GM Weatherpack connector splice into it. Try a MoTeC TPS unit... -Ted |

i honestly was trying to aviod spending 100 for a new tps. i sourced a few options from the junkyard. The fords seem to be blade type, or at least the ones i came across. As were GM.

I believe I spent around $40 or $45 for mine, which mounts directly to the EFI Hardware/Tweakit throttle bodies. Although on further inspection, the two people I knew who had them for that price are now running ~$100. Odd. For a slightly more junk-yard approach, I once used a 420A TPS from a neon by filling the input shaft socket with JB Weld, and then pressing it onto a plastic bag covered d-shaft on my throttle bodies. It worked for quite a long time, too, actually. |

did it bolt directly? i have the efi hardware throttle bodies as well and had to make this silly adapter bracket to make the tps i have now fit.

No, I had to make an adapter/spacer plate about an inch thick to bolt to the throttle bodies, and then for the TPS to bolt to.

I had that issue, too. I ended up just centering it such that my full range of throttle movement was inside the TPS's, then calibrated it in the Megasquirt, and it went happily along it's way.
