i would like to put a good word in for David's engine torque brace. i have had one on my car since 04.
while it may allow for faster shifts i bought it to take much of the strain off my power plant frame. power plant frames have had a tendency to crack. as we work our cars harder and as they age my guess is we will be hearing more PPF woes. PPFs were designed to be of minimal weight so they are borderline given the OE 185 foot pounds of rear wheel TQ... what are you making? stock motor mounts also benefit as the brace removes all the rotational force that tends to rip them. having just the right amount of rubber the brace remains invisible when installed. a best in class design just like his oil pan brace. (just the right amount of compliance and the location correctly offsets the motor mounts from a longitudinal aspect.) love it. go David. |
