Looks like a really good start....Did you use any polishing compound?

Its surprising, but if you go and get some mothers aluminum wheel polish and just use a good cloth to rub it out, it'll turn out pretty good...

When I polish, it generally requires starting with 250grit, then 380, 450, 600, 1000 and a strong compound, if I'm in a hurry, the mother's stuff works quickly...

I've heard really good things about the Mothers polishing ball... thing. You put it on your drill and go to town. Let the drill do the work.

Looks really good so far .

How do you guys 'maintain' polished under hood parts? I kind of accidentally half polished my rotor housings and front cover in the process of taking paint off of them, so I'm going to go all the way with polishing them, and want to keep them looking good down the line.
