Dunno, I tried everything before I heated up the hangers to rebend them. Bought new hangers, changed the hangers around, nothing would help. The backpipes were too close to the rear subframe and they would hit. Motor/tranny mounts were fine too.

Huh...... sounds like you just got a bum system. Should have contacted them to send you a replacement. Mine was missing the clamp that holds the one side of the y pipe to the other. I called them and they apologized and sent a replacement over night shipping. Now as far as legallity I got an unauthorized exhaust ticket. At the time of purhase it was advertised as 50 state legal. When I went back online to get the page printed to take to court I couldn't find that statement anywhere so I called them about it to get some paper work for court. They gave me some crap about the construction is 50 state legal but the decibel level isn't. Needless to say I was displeased. It got dropped because I stated in court that they don't produce the stock exhaust anymore and when I purchased this exhaust it said 50 state legal and was also the same exhaust pattern and shape of the original and I was trying to keep it all legal.

Well, when I called them about it, for two things - the fitment and the cheap fucking zinc plated hardware. They said the hardware was fine, I said they better stop advertizing 100% stainless sytem, and they said that my car must have been bent becuase they JIG everything up and blah blah blah. Basically they were pricks.

They are so far standing behind the rotted can on my truck. I haven't recieved my replacement yet so we'll see.

I would say go with RotaryShack's "Max Power" header with a custom 3" exhaust. Without a doubt will provide the best power but will also likely rupture your eardrums and cause massive internal hemorrhaging at the same time. That being said, I will also likely be going with RB's true dual unless I decide to go crazy with this car.

New question I'm thinking about bridgeporting my 6port.. Will the racingbeat true duals setup still be a good setup for a bridgeported engine?

Another vote for the Racing Beat.

If you are going to streetport or leave your car stock, true duals are the way to go.

Otherwise, I would opt for a Racing Beat Header, Pre-Silencer, Catback combo.

I've owned both on stock engine. I like the sound of the true duals better, it wasn't as deep as the collected setup.

If you want to go really light, customize your setup.

Use a RB header, mated to 2 x RB 1st gen presilencers and customize an exhaust pipe to mate to a RB muffler. You'll save weight, be louder, but still have the distinctive RB sound.

If you bridgeport, do it right. Ditch the stock intake manifold and ECU. Go standalone, and find a custom manifold that matches the new higher powerband of the engine.

Wasn't I going to build you one of those mani's?

And again, skip the B-port unless you're going to do it properly. Otherwise, just go P-port. Or be a man and add a turbo.... or even two

I've got an RB Downpipe, RB Silencer, and an HKS Hi Power....

Honestly, this setup is quite loud, but i think I've got a few exhaust leaks.

It was a LOT quiter when I ran a stock downpipe(with cat) and a main cat delete.

Somehow, I think the HKS exhaust was designed to be used with a stock cat... without one, it doesn't sound as nice, and drones to all hell.

As far as Racing Beat, you really cant go wrong with it.

Yeah, pretty much. It's like my definition of half-assing. I would equate it to slapping on a GT35 and leaving the stock exhaust.

Basically altering the port timing and velocity as much as a BP does requires a completely different intake manifold. It also requires much more fiddling with the fuel and ignition curves which you can't do. The potential in the port is there, but not really at a useable RPM without kinda sorta balancing the assembly to see the higher rev's, and at the higher rev's the stock mani can't keep up. How many superjillion yen did Mazda spend designing and tuning the stock intake to work with the stock ports? Ever hear of reversion? Do you think the mani is still doing it's job properly with such radically altered port timing?

Oh yeah, new intake manifold, exhaust, ECU are needed - that's a given.

I guess I was slightly put-off by your expression, the "otherwise, just go P-port". I was under the impression peripheral ports were even more extreme than bridgeports requiring additional work (balancing engine to even greater speeds being one thing).

You should balance if you want to get the full benefits of the BP. Most people half ass it and don't.

Sure it gives you more power, but it shifts the powerband up eleventy-million.

A turbo BP is a slightly different story, it's not as much of a dramatic shift.
