Looking at buying a 2007 RX-8 need some opinions
There's a dealership down the road from me asking 11,000 for a 2007 dark blue RX-8, cloth interior, 6 speed, spoiler, and 19 inch rims with new tires. The car has 72,000 miles on the original engine. Just wondering if this was a good deal. I'm very unfamiliar with the RX-8, only having dealt with the RX-7. I know the second gen was pretty reliable being an NA and was hoping that I'd hear the same from other RX-8 owners. What type of mileage do most get out of the renesis engine. How much do you spend a month on routine maintance. This will be my daily driver as well. I travel maybe a good 20 miles a day which is really not alot but the speed limit is only 25-35 mph with alot of stop and go. I was also told not to buy an 04 or 05 model due to alot of recalls and issues with the early model cars. I also noticed that the interior lights weren't the amber color like 04 model but blue is this normal or was this added on you think? Just looking for opinions

Brake, Turn, Go! Repeat.

Well, KBB shows about $15,700 on such a car. Kelley is always a little high, but assuming your car is free of accident history and is good mechanically, it doesn't sound bad at all. My '07 hasn't cost me anything in maintenance other than oil changes and tires. Mileage is around 22 mpg highway, maybe 16 in town. I heard the same thing about the early cars, although there are still lots of them around. Neither my '88 NA nor the 8 have EVER stranded me, flooded, or otherwise let me down.
