Default PDX Registration is open!!

PDX Registration is open!!

After you have registered for Zoom-Fest, Follow this link the the SCCA website. -> http://www.atlantascca.org/

In the middle of the page you will see:
"Register Now for July Double SARRC, Pro-IT and PDX"

First read the rules by clicking on "PDX SUPPS"
Then
Sign up by clicking "REGISTER ONLINE"

1) At the bottom of the page you will see "I am a new user" button to click.
2) Fill in your name, email address and zip then click "continue"
3) Fill in the rest of the required info then click "continue"
4) When asked for SCCA info use this:

Member Number = 007
Membership Expiration = 08/01/09
SCCA Region = 3
Competition License Level = N/A

5) Fill in Make, year and Model and leave the rest blank (unless you really want to fill it in) - Click "continue"
6) Driving experience is not necessary to fill in unless you plan to select the "advanced" group. - Click "continue"
7) Click the check box next to "PDX". It will drop down for you to choose the last option - "PDX (other) - Driving" @ $100

Choose a class in the pull down. Do not choose a class higher than your experience. Rule of thumb is: If you have not ran a PDX in the past you will be group "A". If you have run before and were signed off you are group "B". Make sure to bring your log book from past events in order to not be automatically put in the "A" group.

Read the waiver and then check the box then click "Preview Order"

NOTE: You will need LONG sleeve shirt, LONG sleeve pants and a helmet that meets the rules.

Just signed up for Zoomfest and PDX. It's 2 20 minute sessions for $100, right?

Look forward to getting some more seat time at Road Atlanta and seeing you guys out there. Road Atlanta is one of my favorite tracks.

Won't be able to come down until Saturday night as my little brother is getting married in Nashville on Saturday afternoon.

Chad, Dan, David, Phil, Tim, Chris... who all is coming? Chris, you doing the TT? I'll have a hotel room Saturday night. If some of you guys that know me well need a place to crash, I currently have a couple of spots left in the room. David, you have one of them if you are coming.

Many.

How can you pass up a chance to run Road Atlanta, AT SPEED? That's what these cars were made for

BTW, I have signed up to instruct for the PDX. I would like to find a "A" or "B" group runner that is looking for an instructor. Would prefer a first gen. You would run your group with me in the passenger seat and then ride with me in YOUR car for the "C" group.

For what it's worth Kevin, it's only 2 20minute sessions. I was at Road Atlanta on June 1 in my MB car which has intake/full exhaust/PFC, etc., but I'm still running the stock intercooler. It'll get warm, but it's the morning hours and it's only 2 sessions.

Im registered for the event and the PDX too, I wouldnt really worry about the heat that much as RA is pretty good on cars having long straights on 3 sides pretty much so its easier on brakes too. True though the cars get hot in the paddock esp with no AC

Yes, there will be a number of campers again this year. Camping is free of charge.

Not sure, but they have some pretty reasonable hotels in the area, esp. if you are a SCCA member. The one I'm staying at is around $60 for a non smoking room with 2 double beds. If you had 4 people, you'd only be out $15 a night.
