Default First start attempt: no oil pressure...at all

I have no idea where to start... any input would be great. Oil does not even reach the rear iron oil cooler line

my oil pick was modded, that could be it

or ... my eshaft to bearing clearance, that could be it

or ... my oil pump assembly, that could be it

or ... the front cover oring, that could be it

or ...?

Remove short oil line from front cover. Prime oil pump by dumping some oil into the front cover. I like to use an oil bottle with a small rubber hose attatched to a plastic nipple lid from a trans oil bottle. invert oil bottle and squeeze for a while until oil dribbles out. Wipe up excess. Install oil line and crank with plugs removed (and ignition/fuel pump disabled) until oil filter sounds full when you tap it and/or an indication of oil pressure is seen on a guage. Crank for short bursts of no more than let's say 10 seconds to let starter rest.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your advice

Is this process always necesary? Do you think this could be it?

Do you happen to have a diagram of the oil path?

OH, one last thing, the front hose goes to the upper fitting on the oil cooler right?

Yes on oil hose routing.
You really shouldn't have to prime it, If they aren't just takes longer to get pressure. Not a bad idea though, I do fill the oil pumps on a build anyway. If the motor was just built, I have seen missing keyways in homebuilds.
When you do Jeff's priming method if you still do not get any oil to the filter disconnect the hose at the front housing and do a short crank. (disable ignition so it will not start, otherwise you will have one h… of a mess if you do have pressure) If you don’t get anything check the pickup, and since you have the pan off check for missing or broken keyway, turn motor over by hand and see if the oil pump shaft is turning.
Will send you a picture of the system schematic when I get in tomorrow. Really pretty basic though, pickup, oil pump through oil cooler to back housing up to oil filter then into motor.

I only tried 3 short burst of a few seconds each

If the bypass is not working, and the oil cooler needs to be filled first, its gonna take a while...

Im 100% sure the key is on the oil pump, I took super extra care when assembling that part.

Im crossing my fingers....

Did you do the check-ball mod to the e-shaft? As in got rid of them and put in a Holley carb jet?
Our race engines only have about 15-20psi when cranking because of the controlled leak created by the oil not having to overcome the springs and balls in the shaft.

I always pack my oil pumps with petroleum jelly during assembly so they prime right up.

Hi

no mod to the e-shaft

just oil on the pump during assembly

good news

I do have oil press, took a lot more cranking to get the oil to reach the back of the engine

bad news

wont start with the starter, and I dont have time now to take it out and push it.

plus, the fuel pump does not work, and seems I dont have spark. I had when I first started cranking, and then nothing
